Love the pizza. What I love even more is the pizza specials. A pint of beer and a slice. I've only been there twice but I enjoyed it both times. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely make sure to stop by.

Pizza slices are huge. We tried two of their specialty, The Tamm and the Dogtown, both were tasty. There is a happy hour deal which includes a pint of beer and a slice for about $6. They have moved across the street form the original location and the venue is much more accommodating. The bartender was helpful and seemed knowledgeable about the menu as well as the drinks. A private lot to the west makes me feel like the vehicle may be a little more secure. The pizza prices are not cheap, but for the size and the quality, it was not a problem. The Dogtown area needed a pizza spot like this.

Yesssss. Now, when it comes to pizza, I'm usually a traditionalist and order Hawaiian or some type of vegetarian....I usually don't care for much meat on my pizza. But then I met Mr. Aleman. It's a holy pizza with hamburger meat, red onions sautéed to perfection, jalapeños, and the most perfect peppered bacon on top. I can't really describe it more, you just have to get it because it's life changing. Before you get the pizza, order the wings. They're smothered in wing sauce and ranch (homemade, not that prebought crap. ...you know what I'm talking about). What makes them memorable? They double fry the wings so the crunch and crisp on these guys is unreal. I usually peel off the wing skin because the slimy texture grosses me out, but these are crunchy and the skin is almost like a bacon. The texture that is. Also, they have a great pizza slice and beer deal that's all day long for like $6-$8. Oh, and don't ignore their salad, the chef makes the house dressing daily, so some days it's different than others so that's fun. Tuesday night trivia is also really fun! The questions aren't those annoying brainy ones, but more based on pop culture. Clearly I need to go eat here today, see you all there! !

The pint & a slice deal is too good to pass up! The slices are a decent size too, but I normally have to order an appetizer to feel full (waffles fries & jalapeno ranch dressing recommended). The wings are also diabolical--something about their being double fried... The buffalo sauce and jalapeno ranch drizzle combo packed some heat, which came as a surprise--normally restaurant buffalo sauces don't do anything for my taste budes. Service can be a hit-or-miss, but it's never unfriendly. Overall, I really like this place. The location is great, and the vibe is young and hip.

The pint and slice deal which is not advertised on the menu is the best! You get a pint of a draft of your choice and a giant slice of any of their specialty pizza for ~ $8. There's no other deal that beats this. Been here four times now and tried a few pizza slices, they were all delicious. The high pointe is my top pick! The trashed wings are delicious too. It sits on a busy corner in dog town and parking can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. But it is worth parking half a mile away and walking to.

I am a huge fan of pizza and I would like to say that my pizza palate is pretty diverse! The pizza at felix's was fantastic! No specials on Saturdays or happy hour when we were there BUT every day they do a slice of pizza and pint deal! We had toasted ravs to start that were totally different from the traditional toasted ravs in STL but they were still pretty tasty. We tried a variety of beers and each got a different slice of pizza. The Mr. Aleman slice that I had was fantastic and full of flavor! Spicy too which is how I like it! I tried a bite of the other slice and will def be trying a whole slice next time! I was pleasantly full when we left, not too stuffed. I will be going back to this causally, fun atmosphere frequently!

My husband and I stopped in for a late dinner here last week. I had a slice of the Tamm Ave, which had chicken, peppered bacon, artichoke, spinach, and Alfredo sauce on it. It was so delicious! I like Felix's pizza better than Pi's. I don't know what about it that makes it so tasty, but the thin crust was nicely baked and the ingredients just worked well together. Also, I had a few sips of my husband's Schlafly pumpkin beer - soooo good! I'm not a big beer drinker and the ones K usually gets are too bitter for me, but this one was like pumpkin pie in beer form. Yum! Like several others have mentioned, they have a great deal for a slice and a pint. It's only $6 for a one-topping slice and it's $7 for a specialty slice (like the Tamm Ave that I got). The server we had was friendly. Although it took a few minutes for her to come to our table to take our order initially, after that, she checked on us periodically and attentively. I really enjoyed the pizza I had and would be interested to come back to try other things. However, it can get loud, depending on what time it is when you're there and the level of intoxication of your fellow Felix patrons. It wouldn't keep me away (I miiiight just order pizza to go), but just something to keep in mind if you like quieter environments. This is a bar, after all!

Every time I come back home, this is one place that I strive to hit up. I haven't been here since they moved into the new place, but I've been here many times, both with friends and family and every time, I have had delicious beer and have never been disappointed by their food. Their pizza and wings are top quality. Wings: Crispy and drenched in sauce. The ranch is delicious too. Pizza: Thin, crispy, and everything you'd love about St. Louis style pizza. I'm due to come in for Labour day and I'm excited to drop by.

I'm so sad about what Felix's has become.. It's like felix's was made over by a Panera. Miss the old location. I'm referring to the loss of originality... character... and just the overall atmosphere. I'm sure the food is just as delicious and still refer people to Felix's for a good pizza; however, in my opinion, it's lost its charm with the move.

While walking back to our car from the balloon glow event, we sparked up a conversation with some locals as we weaved across the street of traffic and someone yelled "get off the street!" We were hungry, and the couple said that you can't go wrong with anything you get at Felix's. That was a pretty big statement, so my wife and I had to go try it out. The pub had two smallish rooms, each side having it's own bar. There were beer + pizza specials. I believe it was: Pint of Schlafly + normal slice of pizza = $6 and Pint of Schlafly + specialty slice of pizza = $7 This was an excellent deal. Plus since I love supporting local businesses, it was even better! I ended up with the Schlafly pumpkin ale, which was delicious but was 8% alcohol which I didn't realize until after I had it. I had the Story Book, and my wife had the Tamm Ave, both were delicious! The toppings tasted fresh and the crust was cooked perfectly. A great local place to eat! Definitely will come back and bring friends!

Great place for a nice cold craft beer and some very tasty pizza! The craft beer is big here and it shows! Pizza slices are a Good size to fill you up, but don't be scared to try more! They have many selections or you can build your own. I believe it is made to order as it comes out steaming hot! The atmosphere is casual with a few big screens if your interested in a hockey, baseball, football, etc. Golden Tee and plastic darts are available near the bar.

Felix's Pub is a great place for a date or to meet coworkers. Causal atmosphere. Pizza is awesome and reasonable. They offer pizza by the slice as well. I can't remember the deal, but it was something like a pint and a slice of pizza for $7.99. Full bar. Highly recommended.

My favorite pizza in Saint Louis! SO FREAKING GOOD! They moved into a bigger, nicer space in Dogtown a few months ago. I highly recommend grabbing a pie here and it's a cool place to do happy hour or drinks on a weekend too.

Oh, Felix's. How I want to give you a great review! A friend, my partner and I popped into Felix's in Dogtown for a quick drink before hitting the town on July 4th. We were seated quickly and placed our drink orders; a Zwickel beer for me, of course! We decided we were a bit hungry after being tempted by the delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen. Cheesy Caprese for my friend, red pepper hummus and pita for myself and a nice sized sandwich comprised our ticket for the evening - we decided to skip the pizza since we were a little short on time. An hour later, the food still hadn't arrived and we'd had a heck of a time getting the server's attention for drink refills. I would like to blame it on the holiday crowd, but that notion was dispelled when our server - blatantly ignoring us, started hugging, kissing and chatting with a young lady about 10 feet from our table. Finally our food arrived about an hour and a half in - I must say all three dishes were quite delicious. The hummus in particular was the best I've had in STL! Spicy and full of flavor. We definitely requested boxes for snacking later! Felix's has great food, a kitschy fun atmosphere and a good location. It's a sad reality that bad service can make even the best dish taste sour.

The pizza is good. If you're looking for best pizza in StL - this isn't the place. However, it is a great neighborhood pizza place with a good atmosphere, friendly service and quality food.

Went in over the weekend with someone from out of town. Beer choices are awesome and the food is delicious, something for everyone. The bartender was so friendly! I wish I could remember his name but he was working on a Tuesday night I think!

Come here for great craft beer selection, Neapolitan pizza with quality toppings. Trashed wings were crispy and good. Bar is comfy and casual. Dining room needs some soundproofing but fun

Walking by this place, it just seems like another random pizza place. But, it's definitely a hidden gem. They have a decent selection of beer, moderately priced. Service is wonderful. Our waitress checked on throughout the whole meal. Even sang and danced when I switched the music to Miley on the jukebox. So... The only part that truly matters.... Baby. Back. Pie. Holy Dark Lord, this is amazing. Bbq. Cheese. Rib meat. Coleslaw in the middle. (( it works trust me)) Also, THREE RIBS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PIE. YES. THIS IS REAL. I will definitely be back to this establishment, whether to be a hero for playing Miley on repeat, or just for excellent pizza and beer.

Do you like big-slice pizza? Do you like craft beers, and good manly cocktails? Then why aren't you here? You can order any of their specialty pizzas "by the slice" for $4.95, pair it up with a brew, and enjoy a good lunch, or late night filler before you head home. Bring friends, turn it into a party. Oh: parking sucks around here.

I just moved here to Dogtown recently, a lot of people told me that this place has great pizza. I finally decided to come. I ordered queso, salsa, and nachos for appetizer and I ordered a beer and pizza (the clayton). The salsa had a good kick to it but it was definitely missing something. Maybe a spice or something. It needed some kind of a kick besides the spiciness. The queso tastes great. I must admit, the portion of the salsa and queso were pretty big. Then came the pizza. The crust was good, taste was good, unfortunately I felt like compared to the thin crust, the amount of toppings were too much. I also don't know about having lettuce on a pizza. Over all the pizza was good. I would try a different one next time. This place is neat clean, has good people and the staff is welcoming and friendly. I look forward to trying a different pizza next time to change my rating.

Went in to meet some friends for drinks tonight. Use the restroom to wash my hands, then get harassed by one of the bartenders whose "not on the clock." The guy ends up spilling beer on my friend and causing a scene for no apparent reason... While holding a beer in his hand and posing as the manager of the establishment mind you. We confront the actual manager who does absolutely nothing, not even a simple apology. If I go back... It will honestly be because my friends are there. The management is trash, going down hill in a hurry. Unfortunate because they have really good pizza ...

The new Location right across the street from the previous location is amazing! I visited Felix's for lunch today and had an amazing meal. The waitress was very sweet and attentive. Toasted Ravioli is THE BEST I have had! I am not a newbie to T-Ravs and these are great! My mother had a pizza slice and she loved it. I had The Botanical Sandwich with Waffle Fries and they were both great! Looking forward to going back and enjoying the patio this Spring and Summer!

Solid (pizza) pies and a good atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for speciality pizza. It's worth trying at least once.

The BEST pizza! The new location is huge, great draught beer selection. The service is always wonderful. My favorite place in Dogtown.

Felix's is just great; the pizza here is fabulous. I would never call their pizza "New York" style, but it is delicious no matter what it's called. The service there is not the best, but everyone that works there is friendly. The new location (directly across from their old one) is much larger and the space is well utilized. They have upgraded from paper plates (at last). The menu is slightly different and the only thing missing (because they're a pizza place) is breadsticks, which, used to be on the old menu. The new addition of waffle fries is great though. There seems to be a larger selection of beers there now too. All in all, this is one of my favorite weekday places to visit.

Fantastic! We had an 18 inch hi-pointe between two people and expected to have leftovers. No such luck. Not because it was undersized, it was just that good.

Pizza craving fulfilled. This was my go-to place while living in Dogtown. My only regret is that I didn't discover it much sooner and I get sad just thinking about all the pizza & wine I missed out on. This little corner pub is low key and in a great spot. To complete it's relaxed atmosphere, it has a full bar, TV's playing any game you'd be interested in, and pool (I believe). In addition to being in a great spot (parking is a no big unless it's St. Patty's day!) it's literally right across the street from the zoo & Forest Park which makes it the perfect hang out pre or post a zoo visit or activities in the park! Oh, how I miss you so.

Some of the best St. Louis style pizza around. I've been here twice and have loved it each time. The pizza is delicious. The drink selection is good. All around, it is an amazing place. I will caution, if you plan to go Monday late night there is karaoke. Just a warning.

I moved to Dogtown this summer and was delighted to see the offer on the side of the building - A Slice & A Pint for $7! I've been several times since, can't beat a great place thats in walking distance. The pizza here is great! We've grabbed just a slice at the bar and have done carry out. All delicious, though I think the carry out tasted even better! Service has usually been really great, can sometimes take a little bit for them to get back to you though. As long as I have a beer and good company, that's not a big deal :-) I can't wait to try out their new, bigger location!

Best toasted ravioli!! There pizza is also awesome, my favorite is the Clayton. Their new location is much bigger and has more seating. I am planning on trying out there Tuesday night trivia!

Tried calling over and over to order take out. First the line was busy which I took as a good sign. Then just a continued unanswered ring. Got my pizza from Anthoninos Taverna on the Hill. Your loss. Foodies always have a back-up plan for cravings. Pull it together. You aren't the only establishment that serves good food. Maybe start focusing on actually serving it.

I had been drinking all day, and shit was getting weird. Somehow we had ended up in Dogtown and sustenance was in order. Felix's has the word "pizza" in its name, and thus our decision was made. Soon enough our rowdy group of 8 were at a table, drinking reasonably-priced Schlafly pints, eating slices of just-ok pizza and playing Golden Tee. We took shots, because that was a good idea. We joked with the bartender, who was game and obviously had experience in dealing with drunk a-holes. And then, just like we came, we left in a whirlwind of bad-decisions. I don't know that I'll ever be back (hell, I don't even live in STL and it's not like Dogtown is a must-visit hood for out of towners), but it seems like a perfectly serviceable corner bar. If I were to return, that'd be A-OK by me.

The za is out of bounds. It's like a manhole cover in flavor town. Having said that and that being said, nobody goes there anymore - it's too crowded

Good stuff going on here at Felix's. We stopped by for happy hour to grab some NY style pizza (my personal favourite). To our surprise, there were free (with the purchase of a beverage) dirty wings at the end of the bar. I'm thinking dirty means that they are fried twice, then sauced & sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Those bastards were tasty as could be! I think I ate at least six of them! They were super crispy & still a bit tender. The hot sauce and ranch dressings were good too. We split a pizza & I was pleased. The crust was a nice hand-toss, with the right amount of crispness. Sauce was flavorful & plentiful. Just enough cheese and toppings too. In case I didn't consume enough calories, we also ordered waffle fries. They may have been my favourite. I loved the jalapeno ranch that was served along side them. Service & prices were good, so I'm definitely looking forward to future happy hours at Felix's.

The customer service at Felix's is consistently atrocious. The staff are simply rude with no redeeming qualities. This is the second time I have gone and have been made to feel like they don't really care about having my business. I live in Dogtown, two blocks away, so it is a shame. Get it together Felix's. The extra star is because their food is actually pretty good, I just cannot get past the staff.

    (2)
  • Sara B.

i think people that review this place with 4/5 stars have to be drunk or just have no taste. The pizza was not good, the ribs were worse and the sandwiches were almost inedible. Plus when the door didn't work b/c of wind they just locked it and opened it up for passers by

    (1)
  • Nathan M.

Ordered a to go order and arrived 10 minutes later than staff suggested time. Waited over 10 minutes after paying for the order. When I reminded the staff they went back and pulled the pizza (one) (all I ordered) out of a warmer. No apology for being overlooked. The bar was moderately busy.

    (1)
  • Sean E.

Pizza was greasy and a mess. I couldn't taste the difference between the two pizzas that we got because they both tasted like sloppy goop. Best part was the beer. Service was good. Staff was friendly and the bathrooms were relatively clean.

  • Emma F.

Had the trashed wings, and they were fabulous. I ordered the Franz park - and I loved it. New York style pizza is my favorite. The crust at Felix's was perfect, the ingredients fresh, the prices fair. Will be back.....often.

  • Chris M.

Fantastic food, great atmosphere, friendly regulars and staff. Definitely try the trashed wings, and if I had to pick a favorite slice, it's Mr. Aleman by a landslide. Great place to meet up with friends for a beer or cocktail, too!

  • Andrea S.

Dogtown staple, more than Seamus for me and my friends. Great unique pizza!! The app wings are deep fried in gold and taste like living in heaven. Get those. The bartenders are super nice and Horatio in the front bar is awesome and has a great memory! Except I dont and not even sure if that's his name. I was there recently for a 30th bday party and he took care of all the patrons and kept up w/ our orders (and orders and orders of bday shots). This place is also great for lunch!!! There are two sides of this bar/restaurant and I prefer the "Peach Pit After Dark" side if you will. Great jukebox, too!

This is a great place for a random night out. They have a good local beer selection and the service is attentive. I think every time we go there we say we're not going to get pizza and an hour later we're ordering second slices. Depending on how you feel about karaoke, Monday's can get pretty interesting.

I thought it would be nice to write a 5 star review for #200 :) Stopped by Felix's after a concert one night when I was feeling especially ravenous. I'd been in here years ago for dinner, but it seems to have changed a great deal by adding a bar & changing their focus to their pizza and booze. I appreciate that their house wine (at least the Pinot Grigio) is Gnarly Head, which is not too shabby. I was excited to order a slice of pizza, having heard & read so many great things and I WAS NOT AT ALL DISAPPOINTED. Anyway, you order a slice and add whatever toppings you want. I went with artichokes, roasted red peppers, feta, kalamata olives and something else. when the slice came out, I was totally shocked by the size. It was huge, floppy & foldable - not quite NY style, but damn close. My friend had Italian sausage & something and it was really tasty as well. I will totally be back to order a full pizza - super impressed. They have some sort of golf game in the back room. I don't recall if it was Golden Tee or something else (it wasn't a very important detail to me). One of the owners came by our table & talked to us for awhile, offering free shots. We declined (mixing shots & wine is out of my wheelhouse these days), but I really appreciated the gesture & the personal touch. In summary, TOTALLY coming back here - THE PIZZA.

  • Anne G.

Get the pizza by the slice. It's very good. I haven't had anything else on their normal menu that's all that good. Usually just think I should've gotten the pizza when I order other items. I am not a fan of their late night crowd, but they have no control over that. The bar is good, more beer on draft at their new location.

    (4)
  • Andrew W.

Ohhhhhhh my gosh. The pizza is NOT good. 4 or 5 beers on tap, one is out and the other is pissing foamy beer from the keg. 1 person waiting all the tables and tending bar with 18 customers?

    (1)
  • Aimee K.

Ohhhh my gosh. Yes. The pizza is good. I ordered a slice of the Franz Park, and was amazed when it came out. It was a HUGE slice, topped with ricotta cheese, red sauce, garlic olive oil, basil, and sliced tomatoes. Everything tasted fresh, and the crust (my favorite part) was crispy, flavorful, and I didn't even feel bad when I ate all of it. I drank a glass of some of the best chardonnay I've ever had, and the bartender turned off the music and turned on the sound of the Cards game for me. I sat at a high-top table and worked while watching the entire game, and it was seriously the nicest afternoon. Can't wait to go back and try more of the pizza! Really nice people running this place. My only complaint was that it was really warm in there, but then again, when it's triple digits outside it's going to happen. I will be back at Felix's very soon!

I've been twice in the last week, thanks to Groupons. Both visits were for lunch. #1 visit: dining partner was seated when I arrived, and she'd ordered that fabulous hummus:topped with kalamata olives and served with warm pita triangles and generous red pepper pieces ($5.95). That stuff is just wonderful and beautifully spiced. I favor the red pepper pieces for dipping. We shared a small HighPoint pizza: artichoke, spinach, sundried tomato, feta cheese, red onion and pepperoncini ($17.50). It was delicious. For a small, it wasn't small at all, and we had two pieces left over. She took the hummus home. I took the pizza home. All Felix's pizzas are made with Mozzarella. #2 visit: We both got the Big Berthold sandwich (choice of slaw or tator babies [yes, that's what they're called]; we both opted for the slaw): smoked pulled pork, Felix's spicy slaw and drizzled with Felix's BBQ sauce ($7.95). The slaw WAS spicy, but tamed when I ate it with one of the baby spinach leaves it was served on. THEN it was even better when I put it (including the other little baby spinach leaves) on the sandwich. What a delicious blend of slaw crunch, great-tasting smoky pulled pork and a little barbeque sauce, which was sweet. This is not a sandwich I've ever had before, so I was pretty amazed at the taste factor and the lovely blend of flavors. All their sandwiches are made with bread from Vitale's bakery on The HIll. I did, of course, ditch the bread. And even with that, had a to-go vessel of half my sandwich. We had wonderfully attentive service on both these visits. On the second visit, which was Saturday, the place filled up pretty quickly, and we arrived a little after noon.

Fantastic pizza....New York style in the heart of St. Louis!!! The owners are usually always there and are very nice. The staff, most anyway, are wonderful people.

The pizza here is excellent! Im not normally a buffalo wings person, but their twice cooked wings are a rave. The atmosphere is nice for what I was looking for...cool, dark, great beer selection, great pizza, awesome staff. There are MANY similar choices in this area of town, but I believe this is the pick of them all.

Great food and new larger restaurant! Our family did our own buffet with pizza fixed to perfection, spicy hot chicken wings and the best toasted ravioli I've EVER eaten in the entire St. Louis area. I also learned they were giving their employees the day off on December 22nd so they could either get some much needed rest because they've been soooooi busy since they opened approximately two weeks ago or so they could get ready for #Christmas - #NoScroogeHere

My husband and I stopped in here after he raced at Gateway Cup and we were not disappointed. The staff was super friendly, even entertained us with their off the wall shenanigans! They took care of us well and the food was really awesome! We had a bruchetta appetizer, wings and the Tamm pizza........all amazing and delicious! We look forward to returning the next time we are in the area. Thanks Tom, Steve and Phil!!!

I'm only giving this a one star because I have to. I waited 10 minutes for a beer to then be told they were out. I ordered a pizza that didn't come out until 40 minutes later, after my entire party was done and ready to go. Another person in my party had something wrong with her pizza, it was fixed immediately and she got her meal for free. The waitress brought me a piece of pizza while I waited then took it away immediately. I still paid for my meal. Thanks, I will not return.

All good news - I love Felix's. The crowd is always fun and the bar tenders and servers are attentive and nice. The Pizza is my top three favorite pizzas in StL. They are HUGE first of all, so don't kid yourself with the 18". Absolutely delicious. Picture added.

This place was great. Found this place by typing in pizza and beer. As soon as we walked in we were treated with a friendly hello from the bartender. Shortly after sitting down the owner came over and chatted with is for a while. The pizza was phenomenal and the owner was extremely gracious. They have awesome daily specials and incredible wings. I have told many if my friends about this place and will most certainly be visiting again.

  • Jessica S.

I have gone to this place multiple times. I love their wings, jalapeño ranch, and their pizza deal. However, I've always had bad service here... Even if the place is dead. The only way to get good service is to sit at the bar. We went here in 6/22/14 after the USA soccer game was over. All the tables were dirty, which wasn't a huge deal bc there was a man cleaning all of them... However, he cleaned all the tables except the one we sat at. So then we moved tables. Our waitress came and took our order after sitting there for 20 minutes. She didn't put in our wing order, forgot our waters, and never came to check on us. We actually watched her grab her purse and leave. She didn't bother to check on our food order which did come out before she left. Our pizza didn't have the garlic Parmesan flavoring on it. When the cook brought out our food we asked if the wings were coming. All he said was he just brings out what is on the ticket. He didn't even try to find the waitress to ask or just put in an order for us. We told the bartender what happened and she just blew it off. This place needs to figure out their customer service skills.

Best pizza I have ever had in a LONG time!!! You can get any pizza by the slice which makes it so much convenient to try multiple slices. The slices are huge too. I had the spiciest slice they have which in my radar was a medium level of spice. They could go higher. We had the wings for appetizers and it was to die for. At a point I was sucks every ounce of meat from the bone. They were crispy and the buffalo sauce was perfect. Came with a side of blue cheese dip too. We had beer as well which they have local and specialized beers. Great place to eat at least 1-2/week. The bartender and server are awesome and social. A place I will be looking forward to eat at next time I am in STL.

The pizza was great. A good New York-style pie with a lot of meat and heft -- one of those pizzas that give you heartburn as you're eating it. But we sure would have appreciated knowing how expensive the beer was -- our waitress did not bring us a drink menu, and we ended up spending more on our drinks than on the pizza itself. Next time, we'll do carry-out.

Great atmosphere and amazing pizza! A place that truly appreciates their customers! It is one of my favorite places in the St. Louis area!

A smokey neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name, except those of us who do not live in the neighborhood. I didn't mind that the bartender didn't know my name, but at least acknowledge me when I sit down at your bar. He was to involved in the football game on TV. Once the game went to a commercial, all was good. Some of us like football and some of us like myself like baseball, so I forgave him. I asked to see a menu so I could do a carryout order. Brad was craving a French Dip and we had heard their "Stallion" was one of the best. They slow simmer the Italian Beef with peperoncini, crushed red pepper and their special blend of Italian Seasoning. It is then served on garlic French bread with provel cheese. Brad loved it, said it was good comfort food. I was not impressed, I thought the bread was dried out, they were skimpy on the meat and provel cheese. To me the sandwich was mostly bread. To go with the Stallion we had Felix's Wings. A 1 lb. serving that has been trashed and thrashed with Jalapeno Ranch. These wings were great, so great that I will be adding Felix's to my list for Wings. They were large, crispy and seasoned perfectly. What I liked most is that they did not a heavy sauce on them, it was like a dry rub. You could eat and enjoy with no mess. After placing my order to go, I asked how long it would take and I was told about 20 minutes. I had a motive in my asking, I saw they had a special for $6.45 that included a slice of pizza and a pint. What a deal. I had a Schafley's Pale Ale and Italian Sausage. The slice was a large slice of the pie and very good. I enjoyed the spicy tomato sauce and there was plenty of sausage and cheese. Who knows, I may be returning to have a couple of pints and a whole pizza pie with a friend. Only negative, lot of smokers and I was the only one not smoking at the bar.

Born and raised in St. Louis and this is my favorite pizza in town. Their trashed wings are really, really good too!! The staff has always been extremely nice any time I've been there with the chef and the owner often striking up conversations with customers. Oh, and they have my favorite beer, Schlafly, on tap!!! One time they had a "the owner's giving the staff the day off and he's running a one man show" day where they had free BBQ burgers & sides as long as you bought a alcoholic beverage. It was really good but we had to come back the next day to get our pizza fix.

This is it, kids! A pizza place with real cheese! If you're not a life long STL resident, you likely ponder the same question I do before I try a new pizza place, "Real cheese or Provel?" They have real cheese, and a real great pizza! They have a slice & pint combo that seems like a great deal, but I've never had it because I don't consider myself a just one slice and one pint kind of gal. If they had several slices and several pints kind of deal, then I would listen. But I think that's called ordering a whole pizza and a bucket of beer. So, there's that. You can split the pizzas half and half, so do that! You get to try different kinds that way. Art Hill & Dogtown were on the menu for us last night- no disappointment! Try the trashed wings as well. My date was not that impressed, but let's get real, I wear the wing connoisseur pants in this family- and I think they are mighty fine! Super crispy, super awesome! Don't let the martini glass fool you, this is dive bar(ish)- so come as you are!

On several occasions, I've had to wait a half hour to order food because they either don't have enough staff or don't care. I was there the other night had to endure 2.5 hrs to only have two beers and food. Hardly ever got waited on and had to wait another half hour for the check. The table right next to us had the same problem. It was not a busy night. They always seem to act like buttholes when it come to splitting up the check. I'm not Nelly but I wish I was and if I was, between awesome parties and cruising in my blue Cutlass, I would pick up the check for me and my friends but alas, I don't have Nelly's fat stacks so I would prefer to split the check as would most human beings and I also don't need to be scolded for asking. Also, the pizza is mediocre at best. Imo's sucks too but that's another story. Excuse my country grammar. E.I.!

I did come back to this place because of the really great first experience but sad to say, the difference was like night and day. The service was almost non-existent and it took a good half an hour for someone to ask if I have ordered yet. The pizza was still good but it just took forever to get anything from anyone. I went on the same type of evening when they were fairly busy but this time they even had more people working but they were all busy chatting and/or flirting. Completely disappointed, no one even came to check to see if I wanted another drink so I just left after I finished eating a slice or two of pizza and took the rest home.

Although I've visited before and had great meals, it seems the dining room has been converted into a second bar. I don't blame them. Alcohol is way more profitable than food. And if you can fill up two bars, more power to ya. This is a dogtowners watering hole. I think 80% of the people in the place were regulars. Which made for a great time while cheering on the Cardinals. The place was crowded but that was what I was looking for. I didn't eat while I was here, but I hope they kept the same high quality food that they had before. Just don't come here looking for that restaurant feel.

I took the wife up to Felixs last Friday night for a date night, first timer cause we always seem to go to Seamus McDainels. I order a $3 Stag (hahahaha) a mixed drink, a couple slices of pizza, two salads and a cheese garlic bread. The food was decent, the service on the other hand was terrible. After taking our order we saw the waitress just when she brought the food to the table. While we ate she never stopped back by to ask us how the food is or if we need anything else. After we ate our food with no beverages I thought, maybe we should get the check and go somewhere else and drink. At this point he waitress has been MIA for 10 good minutes and we had a waiter from the bar get our receipt for us. As he was getting the receipt I noticed she was walking back into the dining area with her coat on and food in her hand. I guess she went on break ...so when asked the guy why we couldn't find her he wasn't sure and he just assured me all staff helps every table here and I could have asked some one else for service. No one told us that and no one offered. We paid, left and went and went drinking at Obitz pinball in Maplewood. The next day I felt like I needed some closure (cause I'm emo like that) and called looking for a manager. The girl on the phone asked me why I needed a manager and I told her "for the bad service i received" , she then replied that shes a manager.. OK??... Told her my story and when she didn't have anything to say she eventually handed the phone over to the manager. LULZ! I explained the story to other manager and she apologized and said they are having a meeting that day and she will speak on the issue. I then asked her why the girl before her told me she was the manager, and she reply "everybody is a manager here". Deja Vu..... So maybe the waitress was over worked from all her duties? Maybe he was the cook after she took our order? Then maybe she was the dishwasher? Not sure, but Ill tell you I can make pizza and get myself a beer at home a lot faster and cheaper... I go out for dinner for service and a good experience. Goodluck with your new location hope you get some new service too......

Pros and Cons to this place. Pro's: The pizza is very tasty and uniquely flavored. The guys that work there are very nice and friendly. The appitizers are very good as well. Con's: Beer selection leaves a lot to be desired, especially on draught. You have to eat on paper plates, rather than real plates. I find that very annoying. Kind of expensive for pizza. Not quite as expensive as Pi, but still spendy. Last time I went the beer was flat as it gets, and they kept serving it. Female bartender acted like she had a pineapple up her butt. Very unfriendly! Overall: When I am in the mood for a different kind of pizza, Felix's will get the nod.

Great pizza! Try the hummus too. Even though we were from out of town, they kept bringing us free stuff. "Try this! You got to try that!" They are very proud of their food and the care they put into it.

Pizza and a pint of beer (or a well mixed drink) for like $6, you can't beat that combo. However, the catch is that large slice of pizza isn't really large. I think large and I think of this pizza joint in Westport Plaza where their pizza slice is about 1/5th a large pizza. This large slice is about a standard slice from a large Papa John's pizza. But you get your choice of beer or a well mixed drink so I guess it evens out........? I'm still up in the air on that as I'm always hungry after just the one slice. Oh and it's one topping, additional toppings cost more. They do have a nice selection of specialty pizzas that I've seen others order and they all seem to like what they get, but I have yet to go beyond the pizza and beer special so I can't say much on that. I did have one guy I sat next to say the salad was really good and it was a large size as well. The atmosphere is very friendly and joyous. It's a small-ish place but everyone seems nice so it helps. They do have a second bar in their other room for overflow. That helps keep the place from getting too crowded. Pros: Nice atmosphere, friendly bartenders, doesn't take too long to get your food (but I'm usually there after 9PM), and you can substitute a mixed drink for the beer if you don't like beer. Cons: The large slice is really just average.

Nice bar with good food. The bartender was really friendly and helped me pick out a beer, since I was looking for something new. I tried the excel citron, which was nice, similar to a blue moon but bitter. The pizza was amazing. The pesto pizza was everything a pesto pizza should be. And, it wasn't greasy, it was just cheesy enough and you could taste the basil in the sauce. Definitely will be back.

I wouldn't classify Felix's as St. Louis style pizza. It's definitely hand tossed New York style. I love that they put garlic butter & parmesan of the crust, simply delicious! If you're a jalapeno person, just a warning, there's are fresh cut & bring the heat! I never heard of putting a 1/2 slab of ribs on a pizza before, but WOW, that's some good stuff! They do a pint of Schlafly & a 1 topping slice for 5.95 all day, everyday & you can get 1 of there signature slices or an Urban Chestnut beer for $1 more! They always have a great selection of beer on hand! Monday's are Karaoke hosted by Charlie Barron of Show Your Stuff Entertainment. Charlie is a local thespian who's sure got some pipes & always draws the other local thespians out to "Show There Stuff", in other words, these people can sing! Tuesday's are trivia night. Hosted by Kari Liston, of the Bottom's Up Blues Gang, when she's not on the road. Tenacious Trivia is always a great time, but get there early, the place fills up every time, although they have made it so you can sit in the East Side bar area & play too. The weekends are always a party! Felix's has grown from a neighborhood bar in an awesome area to a destination spot for arguably the best New York style pizza in St. Louis! It's a great way to start or end the night. They serve slices, wings, garlic cheese bread & t-ravs till midnight. Stop in & check it out for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

Wow! Sums up my experience ... since opening at the new location my idea of a perfect pizza pub has come to a reality! Spacious seating with high ceilings and awe inspiring art work fill the walls with each piece with a different story behind it like a bicycle one of the owners rode to the west coast for charity dawning the corner wall, so cool... on to the food, the pies are each unique and you can tell made with love. I had the lil chef a combinatiin of bacon, chicken breast, and tomatoes, drizzled with ranch. It was so good. The toasted ravioli where each hand made with a little provel inside. Amazing! And the service was impeccable. The owner and chef andrew roesch even came out to make sure we where satisfied. I even got to sit accross from the cardinals pitcher lance lynn that day. The cardinals and other local celebrities eat there on a regular if that tells you anything. Great place for dining or having your favorite pint or mixed drink. Friendly atmosphere and staff. I will be back! Thanks for a great evening chef Andrew&staff!

Okay, I must admit that we picked Felix's only because we intended on going to Nora's, but it's closed for repairs of some sort, so instead of driving to find something quick for lunch, we walked next door to Felix's. The staff there was quick and helpful. It is a neighborhood bar, which I think those are the coolest places around. I must admit that I expected a longer list of choices, but pizza and wings would have been good choices for what we craved at that moment. We ordered a bacon, sausage, and pepperoni pizza and it was good. My boyfriend had a salad before eating his pizza and he said it was good. I liked the type of bacon that they put on the pizza; not just crumbled up bacon bits, but actual slices. COOL! They had two televisions (I believe) or three, which I watched the basketball game. I can't tell you how good their drinks are because we had tea/soda. But all in all it was okay and I would go back should I be in the area again.

At the corner of Tamm & Clayton near Latitude 26 and Seamus McDaniels, this place is a cocktail bar first and a dining location second, but I'd have to say it was pretty good. I probably won't seek out this location due to any particular craving, but if I'm in the neighborhood, I would definitely try them again. They have a Sunday special of $5 mango martinis (which sounded good) and $3 nachos, which were quite tasty. I had the regular cheeseburger, and it was pretty good. It came with fries, seasoned with what seemed like pepper and parmesan. The fries were tasty but had that peppery spicy-ness to them. I definitely wouldn't have added any pepper or salt. Since they are dubbed a "cocktail bar," I asked how much for a Grey Goose dirty martini, and it was $12, so going with the special of $5 mango martinis would probably be a good value.

Felix's isn't a revelation when it comes to bars in town, but here is what works: 1. The pizza is fantastic and the prices are great. 2. They have a great selection of beers and liquor. 3. On Monday nights, they have karaoke in the non-smoking side of the bar and it's a dang good time. The DJ is great about keeping the music going and making sure everyone is having fun. The only downside is that some of the bartenders have what I call "grumpy face" on occasion. But if you're looking for a place to have a beer at a good price, check it out. You may end up being a regular before you know it.

Just had some pizza by the slice and garlic cheese bread from Felix's here are my thoughts 1) the dude who took the order was friendly 2) decent inside not dirty 3) the garlic cheese bread was alittle dry not terrible or unedible and the marinara sauce it comes with was good the bread just didn't taste super fresh but Im picky. 4) The pizza is sold in full pizza sizes or by the slice, I had a cheese slice and a slice of the BBQ , ham, pineapple...both were very different but in good ways and the slices are New York style so they were huge for 2.99 a slice thats pretty decent. The flavor was really good for both as well just the right amount of sauce and ingredients to enhance not over power very tasty I would eat here again just wouldn't get 2 slices one is plenty for me lol

The food is very tasty - especially the ribs. The martinis are great. I especially like the basic gin martini (for $7 I believe? that night was a little hazy :) The ambience is a little bit odd. The decor comments are right on. The mood is friendly. Nice neighborhood bar feel. One of the things that is great about this place is that it is one of the few dogtown places that are open on a Sunday!

Stopped in here one night to meet up with my friend before a late meeting. Two great things to point out. Strongbow and the Pizza. First of all it's a nice little bar, I didn't look around too much, but sat at the bar. They have some game machine in the back, and plenty of seating if you don't want to be at the bar. First, they had Strongbow, which a lot of bars don't carry, one of my favorite beers. The bartenders are fast and friendly. As we sat and talked for about 2 hours, they always made sure we were taken care of and provided me with a smile when I changed my minded a few times. Second, since it was getting a bit late, and I was getting a bit hungry, I saw they had a offer for a slice of pizza and a beer for just a few bucks (don't remember the exact amount, but it was cheap). Thinking I would just get a cheap slice of pizza, I just wanted something to fill up my hunger. I have to say, it's really one of the best slices of pizza I have had in a long time. I've been to Pi, Dewey's, Peel, and several other places that have good pizza, and I have to say, with the exception of Peel, this seriously ranked. It's fantastic. Not fantastic for "bar pizza", but for pizza in general. Will be returning in the future!

As a Dogtown resident I've been visiting Felix's somewhat regularly for the past several years. I've seen it go through a few different iterations as ownership changed hands, and in it's current state it's a pretty great, cozy little spot. I don't know when exactly they began to focus more on pizza, but we tried the "Pint and a Slice" deal the other night and it was outstanding. Great deal, and wow are their slices BIG. We went for the Blues playoff game and they had the broadcast on in stereo, which is key for a sports fan. Felix's used to have the bar up front, and then a back room for dining and the occasional live band. Now they've turned their back room into a second bar, which I believe separates the smokers from the non-smokers. This was clearly a good business move as both usually seem to be comfortably full. Service always seems to be friendly too.

I love a great pizza and this is the BEST pizza in St. Louis or almost anywhere. I am from the east coast and this is the only pizza that can compare or equal the best in NYC. The toppings are fresh and the crust is amazing. I love the atmosphere. I am not a big eater so I go for a slice. My husband loves their ribs and their version of toasted ravioli is sublime - homemade (not from somewhere else and deep fried).

Felix's is a twenty/ thirty something Dogtown neighborhood bar that I visit whenever I'm in the area. The bar is small and is divided into two sides. One side is non smoking and the smaller side is smoking. The smoky side is ridiculously smoky and sometimes this drifts over to the non smoking side. I prefer the nonsmoking side, when it is staffed. Some of my favorite bartenders don't work there any more, but Steve the owner is always bending over backwards to support non profit groups in a variety of ways. So, I find my way into one of my favorite Dogtown bars and always manage to have a good time.

One of my favorite recent discoveries, Felix's is a great place to get your drink on. Swing by after work and pick up your "Pizza and a Pint" deal -- for somewhere under $7.00, you can get a whole-pizza-sized slice of pizza plus a Schlafly pint, which should keep you busy for a good hour or so. Then you can move on to the reasonably friendly service and more food and drinks that'll surely follow. There's always an interesting crowd here which is hard to sum up -- local Dogtown residents, college students, and more. We've only ever sat in the restaurant section, which gets pretty hoppin' after the dinner hour; from what we've seen, the bar area next door is even more the case. They advertise a bunch of live music here, but I've never caught any, so it's hard to say whether the gigs here are fun or distracting. I'll report in a little later on. Give it a shot! I can tell Felix's is an important cornerstone of the heart of Dogtown. That's for a reason.

Felix's pizza is matched only by its customer service. I've been twice so far, both times for lunch, and will definitely be back -- lots! The first time, I enjoyed their slice and Schlafly pint deal, getting a customized slice (they'll let you pick any combo of toppings or one of their specialties; though the $6 deal is for one topping only, you can pay a little bit extra to add more if wanted). The tomato sauce, red pepper, spinach, and mozarella combination was divine. The crust is garlicky and perfectly crunchy. The bartender was friendly and attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our outing. I was thrilled by the Groupon offer and of course got one and brought the family to lunch. We got the barbecue mac-n-cheese appetizer (zomg fabulous), the Felix's Baby Back Pie, and a Franz Park Pizza. Everything was made to order and utterly fabulous. The pizza even stands up reheated as leftovers (as that Baby Back Pie is 18 inches and there was way too much delicious on that menu to order with our stomachs instead of our eyes!). Once again, the service was perfection: friendly, attentive, and helpful. I can't wait to go back and introduce friends to an awesome pizza pub!

I've been here a couple of times without writing a review, and I think that says a lot. Both times I've gone to Felix's, it just hasn't been memorable enough for me to want to sit down and spend the time on a review. Ouch-- I know that's a little rough to say but... It's a pretty average little bar-- Nothing to write (Yelp) home about, and the music was pretty blah the night we went. Probably won't go back unless our friends who live in Dogtown convince us of it.

I thought an updated review was in order. This place has made a lot of great improvements since my first time of being there. First and foremost, this is a neighborhood joint. That is a compliment, in my opinion. Everytime I go in, I see many familiar faces and they're always nice and welcoming. I think neighborhood bars are the staple of a good neighborhood and Dogtown is one of the best in St. Louis. Food - Pizza is great and getting better every day. Handmade with fresh, local ingredients, it's hard to beat. You can get it by the slice or get a whole pie. Other food on the menu is pretty good as well. I haven't ventured too far, but what I have had was better than average.. Drinks - I love that they have Schlafly on tap. I think it says a lot about a bar that supports other local businesses. Schlafly makes many great beers and I'm proud to order one every time I'm in here. I'm a Guinness drinker on the regular and enjoy a great pint, but I settle for the can here. As far as coctails go, I'm a "caucasian" drinker and have had good experiences with them here. Service - I've always had pleasant, prompt service. On nights when the Cardinals play or other local sporting events are happening, it tends to get really busy, but what's to be expected? I happily extend my service time needs to know that this place is being frequented by locals. Spend enough time here and you will quickly know many names and then you're just one of the family, so expect to be treated as such. That, too is a good thing. All-in-all, a cool place to go and hang out. The crowd is a mix of college to 40+ However, the college is not the annoying college; they're all just good people hanging out and having a good time and a great local place. Smoking - the palce is divided into two sections, East and West. West is non-smoking, East is smoking. It seems to work pretty good. The division of the building actually keeps the smoke on the smoke side. I'm not a smoker, so I appeciate that. Keep it up.

The pizza is below average (you would be better off with any pizza chain) and overpriced... I expected a lot better from a place where the pizza is supposed to be their specialty.

New to the neighborhood, we gave Felix's a try for quick pizza dinner. Pizza was good, service was good. We did feel like newbies, but we weren't heckled or anything like that. Would recommend buying pizza by the slice--the slices are huge and you can get them with any topping you'd like.

  • Kandi M.

This place used to have good bar food but the menu was pretty typical. Recently, however, they've converted their kitchen over to a hand tossed pizza place, and wow. This pizza is goood. The crust is just about perfect, crispy crust, but nice and chewy on the inside. The slice and a pint is a fantastic deal (I think it was about 5.95) , especially since the slice is practically too big for the plate and the pint is a Schlafly. Last time I was there I got a slice with pineapple and caramelized onion and just on a whim asked them to drizzle it with a little of their popular bbq sauce. It blew my mind. The sauce was perfectly smoky but not overly sweet, even with the pineapple it was the perfect balance. I've always sat at the bar and had great service, especially from the bartender John. Definitely give this place a try if you're a pizza nut.

My girlfriend had planned a girls night out to start at Felix. She heard great things about it and I read up on yelp so we were both looking forward to a good start. Well based on reviews and my experience I was like "WTF am I getting punked?" What you all experienced wasn't even close to mine. It was just a bizarre experience from beginning to end. Nothing like what my fellow yelpers praised about. Personally, I believe the website is a lil misrepresentative of the actual bar. It's a bar not a restaurant. Let's get that straight. Anyplace that has an actual neon sign in the window that says fine dining needs to for a reason I guess. Plus, if it's truly fine dining, it wouldn't have video games in the restaurant area or high tops. Straight up here's the scenario. Bar side dark lil dirty looking. Restaurant side in remodeling stage. Putty all over walls, signs in crayon indicating bathrooms, menu being changed and marked out by hand with you guessed it actual black marker. Food is mediocre at best on average. Loaded nachos aren't loaded and had cheez whiz on them. They weren't hearty nor good. Loaded meant cheez wiz w/hint of rotel and lettuce. I had to pay extra for any meat. My friends liked their pizza very much and said crust was good. Be aware the pizza must have been good but it's a 6" pizza. Martinis were good too. We had the Mango Tango, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Caramel Apple, & Espresso. No complaints on the tini's. Very good. Kicker, they didn't have Baileys and some other common liquors to make other martini's we wanted to try. Who runs out of Baileys? Plus our server. Very sweet and very good and following up on all parts of the service. Had the experience stopped at here, I would have held up on my review. However, there is more... The band came in and began setting up in the dining area. They invaded our space while we were eating. Put miles of wires that we could trip on all around our table, had their boxes surrounding our tables, the soundboard was at arm's length and the kicker, I had to keep telling them to move one of the speakers out of the way so that we could maneuver out of our seats. The speaker literally was sitting at the head of our table. I was just shocked at how inconsiderate they were with their equipment. Plus, no one told us or suggested we should dine at the other end of the room to prevent this. The band was just not thinking. The waitress had to tell them to move whatever we wanted them to move and move it wherever we told them too move it to stress the idea.. They didn't take the hint. I'm sorry to write this but it was just the most bizarre experiences. I had way higher expectations. Frankly the 2 is just for the martini's and the waitress. I'm sorry that I have to give this a bad review. I might try it again later. Just that I felt the website pics, menu, etc just didn't represent the experience well whatsoever. Maybe after the remodel and better handling of their "live music" things will be better. Not sure I'd pay a cover here either. Bottom line this should be for drinks only. If you want a good burger or some bar food walk across to Seamus first. I agree with previous review, odd decor feeling. Sorry not the same positive experience.

This is the first time I have been here in years, so it was almost a new place for me. The bartender was swamped and stressed. It took quite a while to get my first beer. Then another guy showed up to help and he was very personable and made sure we were taken care of. We had a prime location as our table was right in front of the juke box (or whatever they are called these days). We got to see all the interesting peeps as they made their selection, which varied greatly, I might add. From country to OAR to Katy Perry. There was no dance floor, but that did not stop the crowd from busting a move. We each ordered Caesar salads and they were what you would expect in a bar. Nothing special, but I could eat it. The best aspect of this place is the crowd. It ranged from college to 40+, but everyone blended well.

Few choices in life are simple, but you must make an immediate decision when you enter the doors of Felix's: do you want to sit in the smoking or non-smoking section? Sure, scientists say that there are benefits to a smoke-free environment, but unlike Bill Clinton, I choose to inhale, as it is a cheap way of absorbing low levels of nicotine and other carcinogens. To balance the effect of this second-hand stimulant, I like to drink alcohol for its calming effect and its ability to cure clear thinking and good decision making. Thankfully, they have a good beer selection and quick service. Their pizza is also above par: I ordered one with pepperoni, mushroom, and jalapeno, and to my surprise, the jalapenos were fresh, not canned! This is an indication that the proprietors care about quality and fresh ingredients. I have location blindness, a condition in which I am unable determine my geo-position without the aid of map. I am told that this restaurant is in the Dogtown neighborhood, and I will take their world for it, as the picture above one of the dining tables shows dogs drinking at a bar. In sum: good pizza, good beer. What more can you ask for?

We went to Felix's for lunch not too long ago as my boyfriend likes to try new places. The place wasn't bad for a lunch time atmosphere and the bartender/server was great. The menu is small and I didn't try the pizza but rather the wings. I love wings and will try them in different places to compare and I will say that Felix's was outstanding!!! The garlic parmesan that they used on them came through with each tender bite. I was amazed and if nothing else would go back for them. Big thumbs up!

What a great place! Went in to watch the game and discovered they have great food. Pizza to die for and a friendly helpful staff. I will definitely be back!

Really 3.5 stars. Yes, the atmosphere is lacking. But strangely the food is good. The part owner/chef used to work at Brio. I have tried an excellent stuffed chicken breast as well as beef - both good. And they have yummy sundried tomato mash potatoes or bleu cheese au gratin potatoes that are both great. Avoid the salad wedge- just a hunk of iceberg! Although the attempt falls way short of the martini bar it claims to be- its Dogtown and it can't help but be quirky!

I love the bar, the staff, and the location! The only bar I go to in dogtown!

Just like everyone says about this place, the food is great the atmosphere is a little...well...odd. I am really not sure who decorated this place, but it almost has a weird blind person/frat house/slacker 30's guy vibe to it. It's interesting to say the least, and if you are into strange ambiance, this might just be the place for you. Ambiance aside, the food here is so good. The burger is not as good as at Seamus's, but it's still decent. I am a fan of the pizza as well. The sun dried tomato mashed potatoes are AMAZING. I never would have thought to put these two flavors together, but I am so glad someone did and that I got to experience it. It's amazing and everyone should eat these things. I tried to make them at home and they just weren't half as good. The drinks are good here as well. I like my martini's dirty, and they make them right with tons of extra olive juice and extra olives. This is a great hangout for friends at night and there is tons of other stuff nearby, just in case someone in the group doesn't quite dig the very odd vibe of this place. Minus one star for sure for a lack of outdoor seating.

Update: Our latest visit to Felix's was wonderful. They were open on Memorial Day- which was perfect for us after a long day of working in the yard and too tired to cook anything. We went in, sat on the bar side, played triva with one of the employees, had hummus and pizza. It was all fantastic! I'm moving my three stars to four! ______________________________________________________ One second I like this place, the next I'm not so sure. The food is a little expensive for what you get. The drinks are good. The decorating and atmosphere is so-so. I've had a pizza there that was fantastic, but only big enough for one person. And, again, on the pricy side. I love the Dogtown location. Service is iffy. I've had good service here, and I've also had terrible service.

A friend and I went because we heard it was good. We both concluded that pizza hut would've been a better choice and cheaper. The pizza choices were very interesting and we ended up making our own. Extra toppings were $1.50 each which I thought was a bit outrageous.

Felix's is a strange place with good food. There is color everywhere and there is a lot of strange artwork so that it feels a little like walking into a rocker's traveling caravan. The bar is long and is often crowded, but there are tables to sit at as well. They have a really good cobb salad, and that is my main suggestion as I find it crazy and wonderful that a bar can throw together such a great cobb! My next suggestion are the wraps, and it doesn't matter which one you get. If you want traditional bar fare, there are pizzas, burgers and toasted ravioli - all of which are tasty. So no worries, you're all taken care of. Check them out!

Cheesy art and cheap sports-bar atmosphere, but the food is pretty good. Far above your standard pub-fare. I'd recommend for groups but not for dates.
